Every window we witness a whole flurry of transfers taking place as a consequence of a single movement in the transfer market. For example, in the summer window, Arsenal selling Gervinho to AS Roma paved the way for Erik Lamela's big money move to Tottenham Hotspurs. This helped Gareth Bale's world record move to Spanish giants Real Madrid who in turn sold their star playmaker Mesut Ozil to Arsenal.
In the 2013-14 winter transfer window, another trend seems to be unfurling. As David Moyes tries to salvage something from his first season in charge of the Red Devils, Chelsea's star Spaniard Juan Mata's arrival seems imminent.
Chelsea already having loaned out Victor Moses, Marko Marin and practically every player on the Vitesse Arnhem team, still seemed to have surplus to
their requirements Kevin De Bruyne who was just recently sold to VLf Wolfsburg. Also, suddenly since "The Special One" took over, their little Spaniard, Chelsea's player of the year for 2 years running, Juan Mata is apparently not good enough for Chelsea. Obviously seeking more playing time, the midfielder might fancy a move to United as such a move kills two birds with the same stone, Juan's playing time and United's astonishing lack of creativity. Juan's crossing ability, vision, trickery and finishing, might lighten the burden on the the shoulders of the young Januzaj.
Having ridden themselves of another bright talent in De Bruyne (or imminently, Mata) they seemed to have signed for no apparent reason except that they could, another huge talent in the form of Basel winger, Mohamed Salah. The 21 year old tore Chelsea apart in the Champions League group stages with the Swiss side Basel. Whether this move would be a wise one for the young Egyptian's career, will be a question not to be asked to the numerous talents that hoped to do well at Chelsea. Good luck though, to the Egyptian Messi.
In view of the Mata transfer to United, it seems Wilfried Zaha might fancy a move to Cardiff City and it might finally mean a way out for the former Bundesliga player of the year Shingi Kagawa who seems, to put it mildy, "A Misfit" in the Premier League.
